I spent 10 years working in
a high-stress environment
in the corporate world, and another 10+ working in the health space. During this time, I burnt out twice,
to the point where I could physically no longer work.

All this, due to career stress. And the heart breaking truth of the matter – that my experience wasn’t unique. 70% of Kiwis have suffered workplace burnout, according to a recent survey [1]. 

I was exhausted, but perpetually wired. Sleep was elusive, and I would drag myself out of bed each morning, leaning on strong coffee for a fleeting burst of jittery energy.

My moods were all over the place – anxiety, depression, irritability, and teary outbursts. I had panic attacks – and awoke on my 30th birthday with full body shakes, a tight jaw, clattering teeth and dry mouth.

My metabolism was wrecked, hormones out of balance, and felt severely cognitively impaired.

Burnout drove me to dive deep into research - to uncover why I developed this bone-aching exhaustion and what the best treatment approaches were to remedy it.

I left no stone unturned, and pieced together a comprehensive, holistic plan for recovery.

The mission

Addressing the cost of stress on our physiology, utilising natural yet evidence-based methods to balance hormones, metabolism, weight, neurotransmitters,
and of utmost important –
the gut.

Self-care practices such as restorative sleep, the right type of exercise and balanced nutrition, alongside sustainable healthy daily habits, schedules and time management.

Tending to the nervous system and healing dysregulation, tending to mindset and the way in which we perceive stress, and tending to belief systems as the drivers to behaviours that perpetuate burnout.

I now had the blueprint to recovery – and used it successfully in clinic to help hundreds of exhausted women feel themselves again.
