This simple blood test gives a detailed picture of how your thyroid is really functioning â not just what your TSH shows. It measures key markers including TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies to assess hormone production, conversion, and signs of thyroid autoimmunity.
This type of testing is especially helpful if you have a diagnosed thyroid condition, ongoing symptoms, or ânormalâ results from standard GP testing but still donât feel well.
Where appropriate, I may also recommend a urinary iodine test if this hasnât been checked before, as low iodine levels can affect thyroid hormone production and contribute to hypothyroidism and thyroid nodules.
